Notice to Inspect your TriTech Lanyard

Notice to Inspect your TriTech Lanyard

Jun 8th 2022

The issue

It has been brought to our attention that in one instance a Sterling Lanyard was missing a sewn tack under the plastic keeper. This resulted in the appearance of a factory sewn eye, when in fact it had no load bearing capacity. While Sterling believes this was an isolated incident, we are encouraging all customers to check their lanyards.

We have identified a gap in our inspection procedure that has been corrected. If you are in possession of any of the above items with any of the lot #’s listed, please inspect the sewn termination by removing the rubber keeper and verifying the stitching. In addition the stitching should be visible through the keeper.

The Remedy

Please inspect your lanyard by sliding the keeper down to verify the stitching.
