What do you love about climbing?

I thrive on the opportunity to push myself both physically and mentally. Climbing provides a space for me to continually test my limits while also connecting with the world around me on a deeper level and interacting with others in the climbing community. I love digging deep to accomplish a goal.

I also appreciate connecting with climbing partners through a shared experience. I am always amazed at the accomplishments that teamwork and mutual stoke can lead to and I value learning from those around me. I find great joy in empowering others to believe in themselves and their ability to achieve something great.

Can you share one of your most memorable climbing moments?

One of my most memorable climbing moments was standing on the summit of El Capitan after my climbing partner and I both sent Golden Gate (5.13a, 36 pitches) in a ground up effort. It was an accomplishment neither of us thought was possible, but we were willing to give it our all. Our collective teamwork, motivation, energy, and ability to try hard helped us both achieve a dream in a style we were immensely proud of.

What do you like to do for fun... outside of climbing?

I am pursuing a career in sports nutrition so I enjoy helping others fine tune their fueling to maximize their potential. I also love to cook and enjoy sharing a delicious meal or a pan of fresh baked goodies with fellow climbers after a big day out adventuring.

What do you want to leave behind for the climbing community? What is your legacy?

I want to inspire people to dream big, try new things, and pursue goals that seem daunting at first glance. I want to empower others to believe in themselves and experience the joy and freedom that climbing can provide.

Additionally, I strive to promote a more positive approach to food, fueling, and bodyweight within the climbing community. I hope to use my knowledge of sports nutrition to help others find freedom to embrace the body they have. I want to support an approach to food that is healthy and sustainable in regard to both athletic performance and long term health.

What is your favorite Sterling rope and why?

The Aero 9.2mm XEROS Bicolor! It is light enough to carry on big approaches but durable enough to withstand countless pitches.

Why did you want to partner with Sterling?

I am honored to partner with Sterling because I stand behind their values of education, innovation, sustainability, and inclusion. I appreciate Sterling’s efforts to be environmentally conscious and to provide the climbing community with quality equipment. Most of all, I can count on Sterling products to give me the freedom to focus on my goals without worrying about my gear.
